This paper summarizes my reflection and a conclusion from the book A Leader's Legacy by James Meters. Kouzes and Barry Unces. Posner. The book features four key parts that covers management as it pertains to significance, interactions, aspirations, and courage. This kind of paper displays my thoughts on one primary point, and provides examples of how this point resolved leadership areas in my individual life.
Reflection on the Leader's Musical legacy
In the area of management, one strategy that can cause a leader to quickly shed followers should they neglect to include in their leadership style, is the ideal that great leaders not only lead, although also provide. Putting in a simlar amount of exhausting, demanding work as types followers is definitely not usually the 1st thought that comes to mind when pops into their heads leadership. To many, it does not seem like a necessity of the one in demand. Many of the best leaders of all time were stalwart leaders, happy to work side-by-side with individuals they led, towards the prevalent goal or perhaps vision. Superb leaders including Dr . Martin Luther Ruler Jr. who risked his life to fight against civil injustice, and Mom Teresa, who have set aside life's luxuries and devoted her life to serving others through non-profit acts, will be the types of big servant market leaders whom show the idea of a leader who puts the demands of the people they lead ahead of their own needs, wishes and desire. According to authors Kouzes and Posner, " Constituents decide if they'll be dedicated. Loyalty is earned once constituents determine that their needs are getting attained, so market leaders who want determination had better observe their careers as requiring responsivenessвЂќ. (Posner, 2006) Even more in the text Kouzes and Posner embark on to discuss the tainted idea that commanders consider the needs of their customers and never those of their followers since they are getting some thing from the consumer.
